Roth vs Traditional Calculator (roth-vs-traditional-calculator.kindoflost.com) and its MCP server for AI assistants. Last updated November 1, 2026.

These tools are run by me, Mario, the person behind Kind of Lost (kindoflost.com). Contact: mario@kindoflost.com.

What you send

To run the optimizer the tool needs the numbers you enter: age, pay, retirement age, spending, account balances, plan features, filing status and assumptions. You send them by filling in the form on the web page or through an AI assistant connected to the MCP server. With an assistant, I never see your conversation, only what the assistant chooses to send to the tool.

What I keep

The web pages use Google Analytics to count visits. To stop any one caller from overloading the server, the calling IP address is held in memory for up to 10 minutes for rate limiting only (the optimizer endpoint of the MCP server and the email form); it is not written anywhere. If the optimizer crashes, the error details (not your inputs) are written to the hosting server's log.

Everything above applies. What the assistant does with the results it gets back is governed by that assistant's own privacy policy.

How your data is protected

Not tax advice

The results are an optimization under the assumptions you give, not tax, legal or financial advice.
